ANNE BRAUN It is with much sorrow we announce the passing of Anne Braun (nee Funk), our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and beloved wife of Paul Braun who predeceased her in 1997. Anne passed away peaceably to be with her Lord at the age of 86 years. She was surrounded with love by her family who loved her and those praying for her in B.C. She was born on May 30, 1914. She is predeceased by her sisters, Nora and Kath; brothers, Pete and Bill Funk; surviving is one brother Ben Funk. She is also predeceased by daughter Viola Piasecki; grandsons, Jamie and David Piasecki; surviving Donna and Rene and family, Joe and Judy and family, Paul and Jennifer and family. She is predeceased by son James Braun; surviving daughter-in-law Beverly, Cheryl and Gerry and family, Debbie and Todd and family, Jim and Sheena and family, Terry and Tara and family. Anne is survived by loving daughter Lavonne (Ron), Lori, Ronnie, Rod and Shawna and family; daughter Betty (Richard), Kim and Paul and family, Todd and Mark. Anne was a gentle, kind, hardworking, godly woman (Proverbs 31) who was brought up on a farm near Lowe Farm. She worked hard all the days of her life, serving her family, friends, relatives, and later her 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren (her greatest joy in life). So, dear wonderful Mom and Gramma, we say a fond farewell, and "Until then, our hearts will go on singing. Until then, with faith well carry on. Until the day our eyes behold the city. Until the day God calls us home." Im Free Dont grieve for me, for now Im free. Im following the path God laid out for me. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My lifes been full, I savoured much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Dont lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now, He set me free. Author Unknown The funeral service will be held at the Lowe Farm Bergthaler Church on Saturday October 21 at 2:00 p.m. with interment following in the Lowe Farm Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ronnie and Rod Melnyk, Jim and Terry Braun, Joe and Paul Piasecki. Viewing will be at the church prior to the service.
