FRANK BRAUN After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, Frank passed away peacefully into his eternal home in heaven on December 9, 2000, at St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by his parents, Frank leaves to cherish his memory his dear wife Mary and two beloved sons, Kelsey and Phil. He is also survived by his two sisters, Elvira (Victor), Tamara (Peter) nieces, nephews and other extended family. Frank was born in the Ukraine and arrived in Canada when he was twelve years old; Winnipeg has been his home since. He chose to become an electrician, a trade which he enjoyed and which also took him to numerous parts of the country. He loved the outdoors and travelling and his many photos are a living proof of the numerous adventures he pursued. Quiet by nature, he touched many people by his willingness to lend a hand when needed. He was very independent and one who could fix anything. His family was the center of his life and they will always cherish the memories of his devotion in their lives and activities. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, at 10:30 a.m. at McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Avenue. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 12, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway, and at the church prior to the service. Donations in Franks memory may be made to Mennonite Central Committee of Canada or to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. "Your departure broke our hearts, but we cherish the thought that your spirit remains with us always." Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
