BLONDINE BOIVIN September 16, 1917 - December 16, 2000 Peacefully after a short illness, Blondine passed away on December 16, 2000 at the Victoria General Hospital. Left with wonderful memories of a very caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt is her son John (Barbara) daughter Sandra (Barry) grandchildren, Marcy, Alan, Alana, Jaclyn, Ricky, Kristy; great-granddaughter Taylor and niece Shiela, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry in 1998 at which time she moved to Meadowood Manor Senior Apartments. There she received a great comfort from staff and friends. Mother has been a caring and compassionate woman throughout her life. Over a period of five years in the 1950s, 30 foster babies were under her loving care. It was not uncommon for three babies at one time to be in our home. This act of kindness brought her and our family great joy. She was very proud of all her grandchildren and not a birthday or special event went by without being acknowledged. They knew she loved them equally and unconditionally. Honoring her wishes, a private family celebration of her life will be held. A special thank you to family physician Dr. Roland Hayward. Her favourite flowers were sweet peas and lilacs. In her memory, come spring time plant a few seeds or a lilac tree and remember the good times shared. ...The angels, whispering to one another, can find, among their burning terms of love, none so devotional as that of "Mother"...
