RUTH PAULINE MARIA BORRER (nee EXNER) It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grannie, and friend, Ruth Borrer, after a brief illness, on Thursday February 8, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 79 years. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1996, her parents Bertha and Jack Exner, and stepfather Bill Ritter. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Harmer of Orillia, ON; son Bruce (Kim) Borrer; grandchildren, Brennan, Blaise and Kayleigh. Ruth will be best remembered by her unique sense of humour, wonderful baking, and the pride she took in her children and grandchildren. Ruth brought smiles to all of us when reminiscing about her favourite memories. Ruth enjoyed many friendships and activities during her years at Trinity Lutheran Church as well as shopping, lawn bowling and recently playing pool with friends at Silverview Estates. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Pastor Lurvey officiating In lieu of flowers, donations to honour Ruths memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 2B7.
