HORACE PHILLIP BOUCHER

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHORACE PHILLIP BOUCHER On April 23, 2001, at New Westminster, BC, Horace Phillip Boucher, father and grandfather, aged 86 years. Predeceased by loving wife Patricia (Pat) sister Anita and brothers, Omer and Dennis. Born in Schrieber, ON, on December 29, 1914. Mr. Boucher commenced employment with International Nickel Company (Inco) at Sudbury in 1935 and received his BSc degree in Mining Engineering from Queens University in 1942. Horace continued to work for Inco and was transferred to Thompson, MB, in 1960, retiring from the Manitoba Division of Inco in 1976. Horace has lived in Winnipeg and Vancouver since his retirement. He was a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. During the Second World War Horace served as an officer with the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1943 to 1946 and was awarded the Military Cross. He was also a member of the Rotal Canadian Legion, Fort Garry Branch #90, and Thompson Branch #244. Lovingly remembered by daughter Pat (Philip) and granddaughter Jaime Coan; two sisters, Berthe (Leo) Heber of Edmonton and Ceila (Lucien) Lambert of Toronto; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. A memorial mass was held on Friday, April 27 at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church in Winnipeg, MB, the Reverend Father Patrick Morand Celebrant.
