MARY BAZAN (Nee MICHALUK) Peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre, Mary Bazan passed away at the age of 92 years with her son and daughter at her side. Mary was predeceased by her husband Fred in August 1992. Mary leaves to mourn her daughter Lillian (Jack) son Edward (Olga) six grandchildren, Brian, Alan (Heather), Audrey Friesen, Dale (Crystal), Debbie (Alan), Neil Bazan; friend Lindsey; and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers, George (Mary) Michaluk and Bill (Verna) Michaluk; and two sisters, Gena Argue and Mabel Carlson. Mary was born in Ukraine, raised in Saskatchewan and moved to Manitoba after her marriage. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy as did her bowling and bingo. Mary was a member of Fort Garry Legion #90 and enjoyed the functions there for many years. Please join us in celebration of Marys life on Friday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. Visitation will be one-half hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Friesen, Alan Friesen, Neil Bazan, John Mankiewicz, Harvey Maslow and Edward Klassen.
