MARY BORODIE 1908 - 2001 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved "Nana", Mary Borodie (nee Hullick) on Tuesday, September 11 at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 93. Mary was predeceased by husband Michael; her parents, Fred and Donna Hullick; her siblings, John, Bill, Elsie, Jessie and Nellie. Nana will be fondly remembered by her daughter Olia and her husband Stephen Susky, her grandchildren, Michael Susky, Cathie and her husband Michael Kusyk and her great-grandsons, Jerrod, Jeremy and Justin Kusyk; her sisters-in-law, Kay Hullick and Caroline Sheeshka and many nieces and nephews. Nana enjoyed her travels with Gigi. They motored across Canada and the United States. A longtime resident of Oakburn, MB she was very community minded. Nana more recently enjoyed volunteering at the Middlechurch Home where she lived and was very pleased to receive her 250 hour volunteer pin this past April. Nana was a very generous and sharing person who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandsons. A memorial celebration will be held at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg on Thursday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow on Friday, September 14 at 10:30 from St. Volodymyrs Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church, Oakburn with the very Rev. Orest Hudyma officiating. Interment at the St. Volodymyrs Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6 or to the charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank Dr. D. Kayler and Dr. C. Borett and nursing staff on 4E at the Grace Hospital. Special thanks to her Middlechurch family for their kindness, compassion and care during Nanas stay. Also sincere appreciation to Fr. R. Glofcheski, Josephine Yanick and Sandy Mosienko for their support when it was most needed. Arrangements entrusted to Raes Funeral Home, Shoal Lake, MB.
