DR. GILBERT E. BOHEMIER D.C. March 31, 1951 - October 10, 2001 Aged 50 At home surrounded by his loving family, Gilbert made his transition in quiet, peaceful dignity. Gil was a gentle, loving and devoted husband and father. In his eyes, his greatest accomplishments were his loving relationship with Denise and his "three happy children". His love was unconditional. Gilbert lived life with passion. We will forever remember him: loyal, fun loving and charismatic. Gil was a friend to us all; a friend you could always count on. He was a guiding force and dedicated leader to the Chiropractic profession. He personally mentored and sponsored over 200 students in his 27 years of practice. Dr. Gils healing hands touched the lives of thousands. He was a man of his word and never wavered from his principles. His lasting purpose was: To Give for the sake of Giving, To Love for the sake of Loving, To Serve for the sake of Serving. Gilbert will be sadly missed by his loving wife and soulmate Denise (nee Bonnefoy) his three children, Carmen (Ian Kerr), Dr. Joel (Janelle Johnson), and Dr. Janelle, all of whom gave him so much joy, love and happiness. Gil also leaves his brothers and sisters, Dr. Roland, Dr. Gerald, Suzanne (Dr. Robert Champagne), Louise (Dr. Michel Desaulniers), Jacqueline (Ken Lewis). The Bonnefoy family, Ray and Yvette (nee Roy), Bob (Sharon Hamre), Gerry (Jan Coombe), Rick, Guy (Lori Williams), Suzanne (Dr. Bob Stitt), Gisele (Forbes Campbell) as well as 38 nieces and nephews. Gil was predeceased by his parents, Etienne and Therese (nee Emard). Gil also joins Denises Memere Bonnefoy who died October 8, 2001 on her 94th birthday. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Emile Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Annes Rd., with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eagle Foundation, 154 Provencher Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R2H 0G3. "This family will go on. Well live and love and stand together.
