Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE ANNE (MARGARET) BOHN (nee WHITFORD) 1914 - 2001 On Sunday, November 11, 2001 at the Burnaby General Hospital, Margaret Bohn of Vancouver, BC, formerly of Amaranth, MB, widow of the late Gustave Bohn, passed away at the age of 87 years. Funeral service was held at the Amaranth Community Hall on Friday, November 16 at 1:30 p.m. Interment followed in the family plot at the Amaranth Cemetery. Margaret was born on February 18, 1914, daughter of Henriette and Peter Whitford, at Amaranth, MB. At an early age she moved to Winnipeg where she was employed in the fishing industry. She cooked on several fishing boats and later was employed as a fish packer with the Manitoba Fresh Water Marketing industry. In 1972 she moved to Vancouver and continued in the fish industry until her retirement in 1982. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Gustave in 1952; her brothers, Andy, Henry, Ed and Willy; her sister Louise Smith; She leaves to mourn her passing her special companion Robert West of Vancouver BC; her son Lorne and Beverly of Burnaby, BC; granddaughter Debra and Phil Chutka and grandson Harris all of BC; great-grandchildren, Kiefer, Ryan, Heather and Kalyn. Margaret also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and special nephew Ed and Margaret Smith of Winnipeg. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the charity of their choice.
