EDMUND BOGGS Peacefully on January 5, 2002 at the Bethania Personal Care Home, Edmund Boggs passed away at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife Olive; his sister Elsie and his brother Gottfried. He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Augusta Boggs and Alvina Hartwig both of Winnipeg; also two brothers Christoph of Morris and Otto of Winnipeg. Edmund was born in Russia in 1913. He immigrated to Canada in 1925, settling in Morris, MB. His early years were spent working on farms during the summer and in the winter Edmund spent many years cutting ice on the Red River. After the 1950 Flood, he worked for road building contractors. The latter years until retirement, he was self-employed as a carpenter in Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Our deepest gratitude to the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home for their exceptional care.
