Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANKLIN EDWARD BOTHE It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Edward Bothe on Friday, February 1, 2002 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 94 years. Frank will be remembered by his beloved wife of 62 years, Vivian Marian Bothe (nee Williams) Ron and Sherrie Bothe and their children, Laura, Jill, Kyle and Ellen of Sherwood Park, AB; sisters-in-law, Catherine Moir and Kay Bothe and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was born January 11, 1908 in Austria and came to Canada in 1915 settling in the Stonewall area. He later attended the University of Manitoba attaining both a Bachelor and Masters Degree. Frank was an accomplished mathematician. He had a long and distinguished career as a teacher and educator in Flin Flon and Winnipeg, including principal of John Dafoe, Robertson and Daniel McIntyre schools. Frank loved life and all the joy that it brings. He was very fond of music, playing the violin, singing in church choirs and attending symphony concerts. He was an avid gardener and travelled extensively throughout Canada and abroad. He loved both telling and hearing a good story and enjoyed good natured teasing with family and friends. Over the years he was an active member of Knox, Riverview and Churchill Park United Churches and the Masonic Order. A celebration of Franks life will take place on Wednesday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Rev. Russell Wardell officiating. A private family urn placement will be held in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Franks memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
