STANISLAW BOROWIK Suddenly on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, Stanislaw Borowik, beloved husband of Helena, passed away. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Helena and all his family in Poland. Stanislaw was born in Poland and was a survivor of Auschwitz, his serial number being 132043. He came to Canada and worked on a contract as a lumberjack. He was working for the City of Winnipeg when he retired. He loved nature, feeding animals and birds and he had a green thumb when it came to gardening. He knew the name of every tree and every bird. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5 at 9:00 a.m. with viewing starting at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Peacefully sleeping, resting at last The worlds weary troubles and trial are past. In silence he suffered, in patience he bore, Til God called him home to suffer no more.
