ISAAC (ITZIK) PRIMACK Itzik Primack passed away peacefully at 92 years of age on November 27, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife Molly in the 66th year of their marriage. Itziks life was characterized by an extraordinary determination and family commitment having come to Canada alone from Eastern Europe as a young man. He taught himself English and he found employment in the garment industry. Over the years he became a skilled clothing designer and manufacturer. His company developed the beautifully made and highly successful "B9er" jacket. He and Molly had two daughters, Faigie and Sharon and established a warm and cohesive family life. Faigie married Jack Klein and Sharon married Ken Filkow and six grand-children were born who shared and reciprocated the love and devotion within the family. Itzik is survived by his grandchildren Michael Klein (Lisa Corne), Richard Klein (Gayla Glow), Nancy Klein (Elliott Zeitz), Kevin Filkow and Lainie Filkow. Itzik suffered his greatest loss in 1993 when his loving grandson Shaun passed away. After spending many years in the manufacturing business Itzik opened the Princess Lunch restaurant central at that time to the garment industry and the Citys civil service offices. This popular restaurant was operated until Itzik was 70 years of age, at which point he retired. After his retirement Itzik and Molly enjoyed many winter seasons at Palm Springs, CA in the company of many dear relatives and new friends. During his lifetime Itzik was committed to the State of Israel, the Rosh Pina Synagogue and BNai Brith in Winnipeg. He was an avid and large collector of Hebrew cantorial music. Because of his fluency in Hebrew he especially enjoyed communicating in the language with his grandchildren and others. The pallbearers at the funeral service and burial on November 29 were his grandchildren, Michael, Richard, Nancy, Kevin and Lainie and his nephew Glen Feuer. Attending the funeral service were his great-grandchildren very dear to him and he to them, Max Klein, Lily Klein and Willis Klein. The family extends special thanks to Rabbi Neal Rose and Cantor Gerry Daien who conducted the funeral service. Itzik was also predeceased by his sister Sonya Chula. The family also wishes to make special mention of Itziks long-time physician and friend Dr. Sam Bellan and to acknowledge the fine care and attention of Itziks cardiologist, Dr. John Rabson and the staff at the Health Sciences Centre. Donations may be made to Camp Massad, the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba or any charity of ones choice.
