Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEIRIKKA BRANDSON Peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2003, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Eirikka Brandson, aged 97, formerly of Lundar, MB, widow of the late Oli Brandson. Rikka was born and raised at Mary Hill located southwest of Lundar. She lived in Lundar until 1961 when she moved to British Columbia. Due to her failing health, she returned to Manitoba in 1996 to live with her daughters. The last year and a half she resided at the Red River Place Nursing Home in Selkirk, MB. She is survived by four sons, Leon (Beth) of Eriksdale, Paul (Maxine), Richard (Pauline) and Grant (Beatrice) all of Williams Lake, BC; two daughters, Sheila Buchanan (Roy) of Sandy Hook and Karen Clegg (Glen) of St. Andrews; a son-in-law Roy Funk of Surrey, BC; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rikka was predeceased by her husband Stefan Olafur (Oli) in 1952; parents, Sigridur (1945) and Pall Gudmundson (1955) eldest son Ramon (1998) and his wife Ellen (1995) second daughter Sherry Funk (1998) and her sisters, Anna Thorgilsson, Gudny Powell, Veiga Brandson and Runa Potter. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Lundar Lutheran Church, with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Service to conclude at the church, with cremation to follow. Interment to be held at the Lundar Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
