BOWLEY It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our brother and uncle Clifford Henry Bowley on Monday, March 3, 2003. Cliff is survived by his sisters, Doreen, Joan (Brian) and brother Ralph; niece and nephews, great-nephew and great-nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, father and three brothers. Clifford was born August 8, 1924. He served overseas 1943-45 in the Royal Canadian Navy. He began working at the Winnipeg City Hydro, where he worked for 33 years, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed his years of voluntary work with the Christmas Cheer Board, Meals on Wheels and CancerCare. After he retired he enjoyed his afternoon visits in Georges garage with friends. The family would like to send thanks to the Emergency Medical team, doctors and nurses at the hospital. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Cremation has taken place; a private family interment will take place in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 or Shriners Burn Fund, care of Shrine House, 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B9.
