Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN THELMA BOITSON February 26, 1925- April 9, 2003 Peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital, Evelyn Boitson passed away at the age of 78. Evelyn was born in Winnipeg on February 26, 1925, and moved to Red Lake in May 1930. She later returned to Winnipeg to attend school. She then returned to Red Lake where she enjoyed the rest of her life. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Agnes and Tom; first husband Claude; infant daughter; son Roger; and husband George; granddaughter Melanie. Mom will be sadly missed by her son Phillip; daughter-in-law Elayne; and her very special grandson Jason; also two great-grandsons. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Red Lake Hospital for all the compassion and kindness she received. A very special thank you to Evelyns most devoted friends, Ruth, Gladys, Cathy, Brenda, Odette, Gloria, cousin Bob and his wife Carol, Marie and her friend for 60 years, Dorothy Long. Also thank you to Cathy Cook, Evelyns home care worker, Marjorie McCrea and her staff and Marilyn Janicki. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. "Special" is the word that best described you.... "Special" is a word that is used to describe something one-of-a-kind, like a hug or a sunset or a person who spreads love with a smile or kind gesture. "Special" describes people who act from the heart and keep in mind the hearts of others. "Special" applies to something that is admired and precious and which can never be replaced. "Special" is the word that best describes you.
