ESTHER EDIGER 1921 - 2003 On Wednesday, April 16, 2003, Esther Ediger (nee Van Niessen), aged 81, of Winkler, formerly of Plum Coulee and Morden, passed away at Boundary Trails Health Centre. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Walter of 59 years; one son Bob and wife Rose of Homewood, and their children Julie, Cindy and husband Shawn Astorino, Shelley Dee; one daughter Colleen and husband Cliff Martens of Grunthal, and their children Chad and fiancee Colleen Brenin, Christy, Carl; and one great-granddaughter Abigail Astorino. A celebration of her life was held on Saturday, April 19 at Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church, Rev. Menno Janzen and Pastor Glen Klassen officiating. Interment followed at the Winkler Cemetery. Donations may be made to Boundary Trails Health Centre. Wiebe Funeral Home Winkler in care of arrangements. 204-325-4201.
