EDWARD BRAYMORE It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of their beloved father and grandfather, Edward Braymore, at the age of 79. Edward peacefully passed on from this life, where emphysema will no longer hinder his footsteps. Edward will now be joined again by his preceding wife Frances, whom he greatly missed; brother Joe and sister Jean. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Linda (Allan) Monasterski and son Kenneth (Cindy) Braymore, along with his four grandchildren, Melissa, Mathew, Kevin and Kaitlyn. Edward was born in Oborniki, Poland on April 27, 1924, the first son of John and Tilly Bachynski. Edward moved to Winnipeg with his parents and became a Canadian Citizen on September 2, 1949. Edward entered in Active Service in the Naval Forces of Canada on July 14, 1943 as a Joiner (carpenter). He was discharged on November 15, 1945 when his unit was demobilized. Upon discharge from the Naval Forces, Edward continued on with his love of carpentry, devoting 40 years to his profession. Edward prided himself on providing for his wife, children, and later grandchildren. He enjoyed vacationing with his wife, playing cards with family, and enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the spa with his loyal friend Andy. In Edwards later years, when his eyesight was failing, he regularly looked forward to meeting his fellow neighbours in the apartment block lobby to chat and reminisce. The impact that Edward made on our lives will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank all his Home Care workers, especially his nurses, Sue and Mary-Beth, who took very good care of him. Also a special thank you to his nurses at Concordia Hospital. Viewing will be on Friday, May 9, 2003 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. at 12:30 p.m. The service will be at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Pierre Wood officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made instead to the Manitoba Lung Association in Edwards memory. "Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers, but the seed remains."
