SISTER MARIE VERONIQUE BOILY RPB Peacefully at the Precious Blood Monastery, Hamilton, ON on Saturday, May 10, 2003, in her 93rd year of her earthly life and her 67th year of religious life. Sister Marie Veronique (Marie Alice Boily) was born on March 12, 1911 in LaBroquerie, MB. Sister was one of 13 children. Daughter of the late Roger Boily and Alphonsine Boisjoli. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving brothers, Napoleon Boily and his wife Germaine (nee Tetrault) and Emile and the late Lucienne (nee Deschenes) and her sisters-in-law, Fabiana (nee Freynet) Boily and Marie Louise (nee Decelles) Boily. Predeceased by her brothers, Louis and the late Rosa (nee Normandeau), Father Oscar, S.J., Arthur and Camille; and her sisters, Marie-Louise Boily, Elise (and the late Alexander Allaire) and Helene (and the late Jean-Marie Toupin). Numerous nieces and nephews also mourn her loss. Sister entered the St. Boniface Monastery in 1935 and was also stationed in Prince Albert, SK, Winnipeg, MB, Regina, SK, Calgary, AB and Hamilton, ON. She also spent a time of convalescence after injuring her leg, at the Oblate Sisters Infirmary in St. Boniface where they opened both their home and hearts to her. Sister Veronique had a wonderful sense of humour and ready wit. Her deep faith, keen intelligence and creative ingenuity made her "unique Veronique" in the community. She worked in various offices - assistant to the Bursar, in charge of altar bread shipments, was librarian, but above all she was deeply committed to her life of prayer for others as a Sister Adorer of the Precious Blood. Visitation at the Precious Blood Monastery, 154 Northcliffe Ave., Hamilton on Tuesday, May 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Vigil prayer service Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at the Monastery on Wednesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
