MICHAEL GEORGE BOSKWICK It is with a deep sense of loss and sorrow that Michael George Boskwick ("Mike") passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2003 at his residence in the Eagle Lodge at Myrnam, AB. Mike was born on July 31, 1921 in Poland and came to Winnipeg with his parents Anna and Josef Boskiewicz in 1925. During the Second World War, Mike joined the R.C.A.F. and served as a signals instructor at 7 Air Observer School in Portage la Prairie where he met and married Anne Sharpe in 1944. During their marriage, they had three children, William (Bill), Sally Anne (Sally) and Susan. After his military service, Mike earned his credentials as a Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) and worked in the life insurance industry until his retirement in 1975 while in Calgary. They remained in Calgary until 1998 when Mike and Anne moved to Winnipeg to be near family and friends. In March 2003, Mike and Anne moved from Winnipeg to Eagle Lodge in Myrnam, finally being able to return to Alberta, the province Mike loved. Mike is survived by his son Bill (Jan) Boskwick of St. Paul, AB; daughters, Sally Anne Chard of Campbell River, BC and Susan (Michel) Murdock of Piedmont, PQ; his soulmate Anne of Eagle Villa in Myrnam, whom he loved dearly; his grandchildren, Jim, Michael and Dale Michelle Boskwick, Jason, Lauren (Mike) and David Chard and Rebecca and Craig Murdock. Mike is also survived by his sister Mary Greaves of Terrace, BC and brothers, John and Walter Boswick of Winnipeg. A graveside service will be held at the Assumption Cemetery in Winnipeg on Friday, June 20 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.
