KATHERINE JUR February 28, 1925 - August 30, 2003 Loving mother, baba and friend passed away early Saturday morning, August 30, 2003 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Born to parents, Seman and Anna Krasij in the village of Pozhezha in the Ukraine. Katherine was the fifth of six children and was the last surviving member of her family. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 and built her life with her beloved husband Fedir. She was predeceased by her husband. Her passing is deeply mourned by her family. Daughter Stephanie and granddaughter Joanna, son Ernie, his wife Debbie, and their children, Brendan, Jordan and Nicole, youngest son Ron, his wife Deanne and their children, Kenny, Kyle and Tyler. Katherine remained a faithful member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. She particularly enjoyed the singing and laughter and the perogy bees. Prayers will be sung at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 3 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
