JOSEPH BOECKX Peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, Joseph died at the age of 81 years. Joseph will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Suzanne; daughter-in-law Shirley; grandsons, David and Michael and also brother Emile in Belgium. He is predeceased by his parents; son Roger in 1995; and brother Gustav. Joseph was born in Belgium in 1922. He served in the Second World War under the Belgium Army. In 1956 with his wife and son he came to Winnipeg, and began work for Supercrete until his retirement. Joseph was a member of the Belgium Club, secretary of the Belgium Legion and Honorary Consul for Belgium for 13 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. A special thank you to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for all your care and kindness shown to Joseph during his stay with you.
