TERRY JOYE It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing too soon of Terry (Cec) Joye at the age of 47 years, peacefully, on November 30, 2003. Terry will be sorely missed especially by his wife Sandra, and three children, Kali, Bradon and Trent. Terry is also survived by his parents, Cyril and Pat, along with his brother Don and sister Marlene (Kip) and their families. Terry loved life. He loved sports of all kinds and, God forgive him, he loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, but most of all, he adored his children, who shared his passion for fun and games. In his youth Terry was a fixture of community fastball and hockey teams in Minto. In 1988, Terry was the third baseman for the Western Canadian Fastball Champion Minto Mustangs, and was a member of the Mustangs Hockey Team that captured several league and Provincial titles. Terry also suited up for the Stonewall Jets, who won a senior provincial hockey title in the mid 1980s. Cec, as he was known to his friends, was a gifted orator who never met a conversation he didnt like. Almost everyone who ever got to know him would not soon forget his engaging personality. Cancer took him suddenly and too soon. Our only conciliation is that Terry made more of an impression, and made more friends, in his 47 years than most people do in a lifetime. He will be dearly missed. Funeral services were held at Boissevains Whitewater Mennonite Church on Thursday, December 4, Fr. Larry officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of the Boissevain Hospital.
