ANNA BOHONOS Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at the Gimli Community Health Center, Anna Bohonos, aged 96 years. Anna was predeceased by her husband Kost in 1994 and daughter Pauline in 1977. She is survived by her son Bill; son-in-law Frank Yanishewski; grandchildren, Connie (Tom) Phinney, Delaine Yanishewski, Valerie (Stephen) Newman, Michael (Laura) Yanishewski and Gayle and David Yanishewski and great-grandchildren, Steven and Jonathon Phinney, Jeffery and Mark Yanishewski and Claire and Scott Newman. She was born in Winnipeg in 1907 and moved to Gimli in 1912. She married Kost in 1926 and worked on the farm her whole life. Anna was active in various organizations, with the church, the Ukrainian National Home and the Dnister Memorial Cemetery. Prayers will be said on Friday, December 12 (tonight) at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, MB. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gimli with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the Dnister Memorial Cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Tom, Steven and Jonathon Phinney and Michael, David and Jeffery Yanishewski.
