KATHERINE (KAE) MARIE BOTHE (nee SCHNEIDER) Peacefully and with dignity, Katherine (Kae) Bothe passed away on December 12, 2003 at the Victoria General Hospital with Lee-Ila at her side. Kae will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lee-Ila, brother Victor (Chris) Saunders, sisters, Lydia (Bill) Ruppel and Caroline Hillgruber; sister-in-law Vivian Bothe, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Kae was born in Winnipeg on December 23, 1912. Mom married John Bothe on July 15, 1942 and spent all her life in Winnipeg except for several years in Sherridon, MB where her son, John Kenneth, was born. After moving back to Winnipeg, Lee-Ila was born. Family was very important to Mom. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Mom was a lifetime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was an avid baseball and curling fan and enjoyed playing bowling and bridge. Cooking and collecting recipes were other hobbies. After the death of her dear husband in 1989, Mom lived with her son until his death in 1995. Mom and Lee-Ila then lived together and shared a bond that will be forever cherished. It was much more than a mother-daughter relationship. They were best friends. Thanks to Dr. R. Olson for her exceptional care and the staff of Victoria General Hospital who cared for Mom. In accordance with Moms wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 17, with Pastor Don Engel officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine Bothes memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E OV9. HER JOURNEYS JUST BEGUN Dont think of her as gone away... Her journeys just begun; Life holds so many facets... This earth is only one. Just think of her as resting From the sorrows and the tears, In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years, Think how she must be wishing That we would know today, How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away, And think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched... For nothing loved is ever lost... And she was loved so much. Im going to miss you Mom... NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
