NINA BOROWSKY Suddenly, but peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Nina Borowsky, aged 81, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughter Chari Brocklebank; her husband Regan; great-grandchildren, Tori and Ryley; and her most loving friends, Tony, Phyllis, Ron, Sheila, Stacey, Courtney, Michael, Cyndy and Amanda. Nina was born in Poland and grew up in White Russia. During the war she worked in Minsk, Germany, and came to Canada in 1948. Nina was predeceased in 1984 by her husband Russell, whom she married in 1968. She was a very loving and caring person, whose humour often caught people off guard. Nina loved cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting and cross-stitching and most of all shopping. Family and friends wish to extend sincere thanks to all the caregivers at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Special thanks to Connie Sarvis whose caring during her difficult times was greatly appreciated. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
