LAURENT "PEANUT" JOANISSE With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father Laurent Joanisse on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at the age of 69 years. Laurent was predeceased by his father Claude; his mother Cecile; brothers, Paul and Emile and his children, Joanne, Larry and Guy. Laurent will be lovingly remembered by Rita and their children, Glenn (Gisele), Richard (Yvette), Mario (Nicole) and Julie (Michel). His grandchildren, Zachary, Daniel, Josee, Rachael and Justin. As well he will be missed by his brothers, Roger, Achille and Emmanuel. His sisters, Therese and Dolorese; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Laurent "Peanut" was born and raised in Hearst, ON. He was known as a friendly, fun loving and hardworking handyman. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, expecting nothing in return. Pride in ones work and dedication are values that will be instilled in all who knew him. Peanut loved music, dancing, and had a passion for his drum set. He had amazing love for life that carries on through his children. As a family, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion during his brief battle with cancer. Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons. Interment of the ashes will take place at a later date.
