JOHN (JACK) TURNER BRANTON Passed away peacefully Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Deer Lodge Care Centre, Winnipeg, MB, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Alberta (nee Blaikie) and dearly loved father to David and Joanne (Winnipeg) and Michael and Randy (Windsor, ON) dearest grandfather to Christie and Fergus (Winnipeg) and specially loved brother-in-law to Verna and George Townsend and Nelson and the late Isabel (nee Branton) McGregor (Winnipeg) greatest uncle/surrogate father to Lesley, Gene, Taylor and Andrew (Edmonton) and life-long best friend of Jack (John) and Elsie Rudd (Vancouver). Predeceased by his parents William (1953) and Emma (1993). Our father will be sadly missed by all his dear family and friends who knew what a huge and caring heart lay beneath that gruff exterior. Dad was truly a skilled and talented retired printer, not to mention "Jack"-of-all-trades with an affinity for the slots! The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Warren and staff of Unit 4 East, Deer Lodge and the doctors and staff of Concordia Hospital for the compassionate care and attention he received. At our fathers request there will be no funeral service with cremation having taken place. If desired, donations may be made in honour of Jack to the Deer Lodge Hospital Foundation, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3 or the charity of your choice. In our hearts and thoughts forever - love your family. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
