STEVEN BODNARCHUK 1912 - 2004 The family of Steven Bodnarchuk are saddened to announce his sudden passing on Friday, March 26, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Steve was born on November 1, 1912 at Vita, MB. The oldest child of a family of seven, born to Alec and Katryna Bodnarchuk. Steve leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his loving memory brother, Gordon (Evelyn) of Treherne; sister, Mary McClelland of Rathwell; brother Walter (Alice ) of Austin; brother Jerry (Phyllis) of Edmonton as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Retta Bodnarchuk (nee Ferris) parents, Alec and Katryna Bodnarchuk; sisters, Elizabeth Lloyd, Dora Sloboda; brothers-in-law, Frank Lloyd, Steve Sloboda and Allan McClelland. Steve was a farm labourer in his early years and then became an auto mechanic in Winnipeg where he owned his own business. Many weekends were spent at Rettas farm where family and friends enjoyed their hospitality. He loved music, playing cards and was an avid sports fan. Steve will be sadly missed for his generosity and good nature. A memorial Service was held on Tuesday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m., at the Rathwell Community Hall, Rathwell, MB. Interment followed at the Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if friends so wish donations may be made in Steves memory to a charity of ones choice. Special thanks to Dr. L.
