Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVALDINE LYNNE BORGFORD Peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre, Valdine Lynne Borgford, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish her memory is her father John Borgford; her brother Brian (fiance, Leslie) and her close friends, Cora, Marc and family, Linda, Roy and family, Darlene, Peter and family, Karen and Lee. She was predeceased by her Mother Doris in 1998; her Aunt Inga, Uncle Helgi and Aunt Millicent. Valdine graduated from Red River College with her Diploma in Nursing in 1974 and began her nursing career at the Health Sciences Centre. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse. She loved her work and the friendships she developed there. Valdine will be remembered by her family and close friends for her generosity, for being a good listener and for being willing to help in times of trouble. She enjoyed going to dinner and a movie, reading, travelling and spending time with family and friends. Valdine faced her illness with perseverance and determination, traits which helped her overcome many trials in her life. Although she will be sadly missed, we are comforted that her time of suffering has ended and we will remember all of the good times that we shared with her. Special thanks to CancerCare, Susan Finlay of palliative care, the D5 staff at HSC and Valdines sitters. A graveside service will be held at the Lutheran Cemetery, Hwy. #9, Selkirk, MB on Monday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. with Archdeacon Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
