Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVENETTA M. BOOTH Its with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Venetta M. Booth who died how she lived at the full age of 81 years, on Monday, July 26. 2004. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Patricia Ann Kearney; nephews, Denny, Donald, Leslie; and nieces, Marilyn, Pamela and Trish; as well as numerous grandnieces and nephews who loved her throughout her life. Venetta was predeceased by Dorothy Booth, Dr. Denton H. Booth and Georgina McGregor as well as her beloved nephew Dr. John Booth McGregor. She worked for the C.P.R for 38 years, during that time she became the first woman supervisor of reclaims at Windsor Station in Montreal. She worked and lived in Montreal until her retirement. Following retirement, Venetta was a member of the Arthritic Self-Help group for years, she had been for a number of years a Social Convener of the group. As well she was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Jubilee Chapter until her health prohibited her participation in both activities. She led an active full life in which she had many interests. She travelled extensively throughout the world, until she wasnt capable, her mind was still active and vibrant, she participated and kept up with current events and stayed focused on many of her interests as well as up to date with loved ones lives. The family would like to acknowledge the devotion of Rosalie Favreau and her family, she had many friends who she valued. Many thanks to the staff of Lions Personal Care Home, and the Jubilee Chapter as well. A funeral service will be held on July 31 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespler, Winnipeg, MB. If friends so desire, donations in Venettas name may be made to the Arthritis Society, 105 - 386 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4M8 or the Arthritis Self Help Group, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5. Venetta will forever hold a place in our hearts. I will forever treasure the stories she shared of her travels around the world and her job in Montreal.
