PEARL BOYCHUK It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pearl Boychuk (nee Sasnella), at the age of 80 years, on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre after a brief illness. Pearl was born in Gypsumville on April 17, 1924 where she resided until she met her future husband, John. They met in St. Martin where he had a teaching position. Pearl and John were married on July 4, 1943 in Winnipeg. They spent their years together in St. Martin, Vita, Sandy Lake, Winnipeg and Brandon. Pearl enjoyed bingo, cooking, gardening, knitting, playing cards and dancing. She spent many years catering at the Ukrainian National Home. She also enjoyed going for coffee with the coffee gang in Brandon and Sandy Lake. However, her family was always her first priority. She gave her love unconditionally to all of them. She will be lovingly and sadly missed by her husband of 61 years, John; daughter, Gerri (Paul) sons, Eugene (Daniel), Brian (Leslie) grandchildren, Andrea and Jesse, whom she adored and saw as the future. Pearl also leaves, to mourn her passing her sister, Mary Turman and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Annie and Lil; and brother, Michael. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre for the care they provided. The funeral service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 18th St. North, on Saturday, August 28 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
