SOPHIE BORSON (nee Klym) Passed away peacefully on July 29, 2004 in California at the age of 85 years. Sophie was born on November 8, 1918 in Gimli, MB, the thirteenth of fifteen children of Michael and Anna Klym. Sophie is survived by her sons, Ronald (Elizabeth) Borson of Palm Desert, CA and Sheldon (Kim) Borson of Alta Loma, CA, daughter Cheryl (David) Eddings of Manhattan Beach, CA. Also surviving is brother Stephen (Jean) Klym of Nanaimo, MB, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. A resident of Manitoba for the past 30 years, she had previously lived in Whittier, CA with her family until 1974, when she moved to Winnipeg. Sophie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her memory and smile will be cherished forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel on 1st Ave. in Gimli, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophies memory to the charity of ones choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
