MARY "ALICE" ALBERTINE BOURGEOIS On Monday, August 30, 2004 at the Portage District Hospital Alice Bourgeois passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. Alice was born April 23, 1918 and raised in Sisters of St. Boniface Convent. Alice will be sadly missed by sons and daughters-in-law, Marcel (Patricia Sanford) of Saskatoon and Eugene (Teresa Nunn) of Elm Creek; and grandchildren, Dean, Amber, Michael, Brandy (Rick Mayberry) and great-grandson Alexander. She was predeceased by her husband Alcide "Sid" Clement Bourgeois in 2002, whom she married on October 15, 1949. She was also predeceased by one brother Michael, and by her dearest friend Rita Becker in 2003. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Omichinski and the nurses at the Portage Hospital for their extra care, kindness and understanding throughout the years. Also thanks to the Starbuck Home Care Ladies and the Boyne Lodge Adult Daycare Program. Funeral service will be held from St. Marys Roman Catholic Church in Elm Creek on Friday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Edward Kosa (O.M.I.) officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Creek Catholic Cemetery. Prayers will be said at the Elm Creek Church on Thursday, September 2 at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
