ANTHONY (TONY) STRYKOWSKI Peacefully on Saturday, January 1, 2005, Tony passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 84 years. Tony will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years, Krystyna; his twin daughters, Irene and Margaret; brother-in-law Henry (Ann) Wanic. Tony was born January 2, 1920, in Poland. In 1943 he was forcefully taken by the Germans and worked for two years in Germany. In 1945, he immigrated to France, later moving to Canada in 1948. Tony worked for Goberg Brothers Factory for 19 years. In 1964, he started work for the University of Manitoba until his retirement. Tony was a very hard working man all his life. Special thanks to Henry and Ann Wanic and niece Basia Golanski for their loving care and compassion towards our father and to us. The family extends their appreciation to the nurses and health care aids and staff at the Holy Family Nursing Home - they treated our father with the utmost respect, compassion and care. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's memory to a charity of one's choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
