GERARD (GERRY) PRETEAU It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerard (Gerry) Preteau, beloved husband of Lucille; father to Dan (Jen), Carmen (Pat), Michelle (Marc); grandfather to Danie, Tyler, Zoe, Zachary and Noah. He also leaves to mourn his mother Anita; father Edouard; brothers, Levis (Carole), Noel (Rose), Henri; sister-in-law Rachelle and many other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, our Lord decided to end Gerry's sufferings. He was a hard worker, always organized and never left anything unfinished. He has left us with a legacy of knowledge, advice and courage. Gerry was very passionate about hockey, fishing and quadding. He gave 13 years of devotion to the Red River Workshop, a job he loved. He always made time for his children and his grandchildren. They love their Pepere very much and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank CancerCare at the Health Science Centre, the Palliative Care in St-Pierre-Jolys and a special thank you to Jennifer, home care nurse. Thank you for all your support, caring and help you gave to Gerry and his family. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Joseph Choiselat at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, MB on Tuesday, February 22 at 2:30 p.m. Prayer service will begin at 2:00 p.m. The service will terminate at the church. Interment of Gerard's cremated remains will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery at a later date. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
