SEAN EDWARD MANCER It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sean Edward Mancer, in Seoul, Korea on March 3, 2005. Sean will be missed by so many people, his brother Kyle, the Simpson, Mancer and Ferguson families. Sean was born in Winnipeg on September 19, 1980, the second son of the late Ted and Debbie Mancer. Following the tragic death of his parents, Sean was loved and cared for by Jane and Rob Simpson as if their own, spending his childhood years growing up in a wonderful family environment with sisters, Gillian and Angie and brother Dave. Growing up Sean spent his winters playing hockey, skiing and snowboarding. He loved to spend time with family and friends, particularly during the summer, where he enjoyed summers at the Simpson cottage on Lake of the Woods and the Mancer cottage on West Hawk Lake. His favourite activities at the lake were boating and wakeboarding and he was always excitedly looking forward to the next social event. His spontaneous humour and good natured charm provided an instant lift to any gathering. After graduation from Oak Park High School, Sean spent time travelling around the world, something he loved to do. His adventures took him to many places resulting in many activities, including scuba diving, bungee jumping and most recently, helping with the Tsunami relief efforts in Thailand. This adventurous nature meant that he always had a new story to tell about his extensive world travels throughout Canada, Europe or Asia. In addition to his family and friends in Winnipeg, Sean will be greatly missed by the numerous friends that he had made from around the world. A celebration of Sean's life will take place at St. Andrews United Church, Kingsway and Oak Street, on Wednesday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sean's name to Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba, Inc. Sean was a fun loving person, who lived in the moment. We love you Sean.
