ERMELINDA DE MOURA F. REIS July 20, 1922 - March 21, 2005 It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Ermelinda on Monday at the Health Sciences Centre. She leaves to mourn her husband of 59 years, Jose; her five children, Jose (Elizabeth), Paulo (Aida), Maria (Jose) Soares (all of Winnipeg) and Antonio (Ines), Manuel (Rita) (all of Brazil); 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Ermelinda was predeceased by her son Joao in 2004; and her sister Maria in British Columbia. The family would like to thank the staff at Misericordia Place, 3rd floor and Health Sciences Centre, GD 4th floor for all their care and compassion they showed to our mother. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Entombment will follow in Queen Of Heaven Mausoleum. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in Ermelinda's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of one's choice.
