DEBRA LYNNE MANDZUK On May 2, 2005, after a short but extremely courageous battle with cancer Debra quietly left us while surrounded by her loving family and friends. Debra leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her loving husband of 26 years Tim; sons, Chad (Pam) and Clayton (Jodie); sisters, Kim (Riel) and Denise (Guy); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Terry; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Gerald, and brother Jerry. Debra's joy in life was her family. Her special joy was watching Chad and Clayton grow into adults. Debra's new found hobbies of gardening at the family cottage and decorating were extremely comforting for her. She leaves numerous friends at the cottage where retirement with Tim was their biggest dream. Although her stay with us was very short, she leaves us with fond memories. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Paul Daeninck and his team at the St. Boniface Hospital and to Pierre, Deb's night nurse, for all his comfort and caring; also Dr. Harris and her team at the Concordia Hospital Oncology; and a special thanks to Deb's very good friend Janice. Thanks to all of our friends and co-workers who helped the family through this very difficult time. In keeping with Debra's wishes, cremation will be followed by a private family service. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that memorial donations be sent to CancerCare Manitoba. We love you and will miss you forever Deb / Mom Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
