DIEGO SFERRAZZA Peacefully with his family by his side Diego Sferrazza passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital on May 5, 2005. He is survived by his wife Giusepina; sons, Pino and Giovanni; daughter Concetta (Rodney); granddaughters, Danielle and Stephanie; mother Concetta from Sicily; two brothers in Sicily and their families, three brothers and one sister in Ontario and their families; brother-in-law Salvtore Sardo and family and one brother-in-law in Paris, France. He was predeceased by his father Giuseppe and his brother Luigi. Diego was born in Racalmuto Sicily on November 15, 1930. He came to Winnipeg in 1963 and he worked at Perth's, Polo Park as a shoemaker until his retirement. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. with viewing taking place one half hour prior to service in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital for all their compassion and care.
