Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUNE HAUFEK (nee SHOEBRIDGE) On Friday, May 20, 2005 at the Elizabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Ottawa, ON, our dear mom, June, passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank. Left to mourn her loss are her adoring daughters, D'Arcy (Ian Peeling) and Dana (Guy Bourbonniere); and cherished grandchildren, Darian and Reid Peeling and Jade, Josh and Lane Bourbonniere, all of Ottawa. Survived by her sister Gail Pauls of Victoria, BC. Also survived by her mother-in-law Eileen Kennedy, brother-in-law Neil Haufek (Claudette), sisters-in-law, Elphie Curtis and Diana (Don Thomsen) all of Winnipeg, as well as, many nieces, nephews and special friends. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Winifred; and her sister Patricia Shoebridge. Born in Dartmouth, NS on June 10, 1933 she lived in Sussex, NB during the war years. June graduated from the Nursing School at Brandon Hospital in Manitoba in 1955 and became a flight attendant with TCA until 1958 when she married her beloved Frank. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles St., Winnipeg on Tuesday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment St. Charles' Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry Funeral Home, Ottawa (613-728-1761). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
