She was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Anne. Betty also known as Liz was born on August 20, 1951 and grew up in Middlechurch on the family farm. Her career in catering started with Naleways Catering, followed by many years of service at Winnipeg Convention Centre. She was famous for her homemade cabbage rolls and perogies. Her heart of gold touched the lives of many people in many different ways. Her many activities included bowling, volunteering and playing bingo at the German Club. Throughout her life, she was an avid member of the Royal Canadian Legions, the Ladies Auxiliary at #141 for over 20 years, and most recently at Sir Sam Steele #117. She was a loving and caring person, always willing to lend a helping hand. Family was important to Betty, and she loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, they were the apple of her eye. God made a wonderful Mother, A Mother who never grows old. He made her smile of the sunshine, And He made her heart of pure gold. In her eyes He placed bright shining stars, In her cheeks, fair roses you see, God made a wonderful Mother, And He gave that dear Mother to me. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
