ANIELA STRUG Peacefully, on Sunday, May 29, 2005, surrounded by her family, Aniela Strug passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 89 years. Aniela was born September 16, 1915 in Poland. She operated a small family farm in Poland until she came to Canada in 1981. She was predeceased by her husband, Ignacy; brother Wojciech Tolpa; all six sisters, Paulina, Kasia, Anna, Barbara, Sally, Balbina; and sons-in-law, Walter Skoczypiec and Frank Mrozek. Mom is survived and mourned by her daughters, Maria, Janina (Russell), Helena (Stan); ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Aniela was a very generous, kind and loving person and a friend to all. She loved her cooking, baking and gardening. She will be fondly remembered for being a very special Mother, Babcia and Prababcia to her family. Mom will be missed but never forgotten. The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home for the wonderful care and kindness shown to our Mother. Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. and an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Donations may be made in Aniela's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or to a charity of their choice.
