ADELINA PRINCIPE (nee DeLuca) On June 18, 2005, our dear Mamma and Nonna, Adelina Principe, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, beloved wife of her late husband, Francesco. Her memory is cherished by her son, Eugenio (Elena), daughter Maria-Giovanna (Joe) Tummillo, and son Renato. Grandchildren, Antonio, Adam (Angie), Marco, Adelina and Francesco, brother Vincenzo DeLuca, sisters-in-law Sestilia DeLuca (Wpg) and Annina DeLuca (Windsor, ON), brothers-in-law Mario, Ugo and Pasquale Principe and families, sister-in-law Irma Minna and family (Toronto, ON), numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Italy, as well as many loving family members and friends in Winnipeg, Toronto, Ohio, Montreal and Italy. She was predeceased by her sisters Giuseppina Talarico, Pasqualina Lindia, Marietta Pingitore, brothers Giovanni Stano and sister-in-law, Emilia DeLuca. Adelina was born on July 6, 1924 in Lappano Cosenza, Italy to Antonia and Francesco DeLuca. She married Francesco in 1947. They came to Canada in 1966. Adelina was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who took pride in helping raise her five grandchildren. Nonna was always ready with a smile and food on the table at any time. Nonna's stories from the past and warm smile would light up the room for us. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and generosity. Nonna always put the needs of others first, her door was always open to friends and family at any time. We will miss her constant love and support. Cara Nonna, you will be in our hearts forever. Pallbearers Antonio, Adam, Marco Tummillo, Francesco Principe, Francesco DeLuca, Fausto DeLuca, honorary pallbearers Adelina Principe. Prayers will be said at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Rosary, 510 River Ave, Father Sam Argenziano presiding with the interment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 4000 Portage Ave. The family wishes to thank her many friends and relatives for their kindness, love and support during her illness. We would also like to thank the staff of units 5B and 4B at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care. Donations in Adelina's memory can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
