ADAM JARSCHKE On Wednesday, June 29, 2005 Adam Jarschke passed away at the Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 97 years. Adam was born on September 1, 1907 in the Beausejour District in Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents, Ludwig and Katherine Jarschke who emigrated from Austria in 1896. He is also predeceased by his 11 siblings. Adam leaves to mourn his passing, his brother Max and many nieces and nephews in British Columbia, the United States and here in Manitoba. Adam's tales of yesteryear and his sense of humour will long be remembered by his friends, neighbours and family. He never retired from work where he made his farm, gardening, berry picking and woodcutting his hobbies. Prayers will be led by Deacon Bill Parrack at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening, July 5 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. with Celebrant Fr. Michael Wollbaum. Interment will follow at Woodlands Cemetery, Woodlands, MB. If friends and family so wish, donations may be made in Adam's memory to Woodlands Cemetery Fund, in care of Church of Annunciation, Woodlands, MB R0C 3H0.
