Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BOYCHUK It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of John Boychuk on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital. John was born on July 4, 1921 in Winnipeg. He worked for 38 years, as a carman for the Canadian National Railway until he retired in 1982. John, in his early years loved to fish and watch his sons play hockey, he also loved to sing, and would often entertain friends and family with his beautiful voice. John was predeceased by his wife Helen in 1969; his sisters, Gene, Jessie and Veronica; brothers, Mike and Nick; daughter-in-law Elin. Together, John and Helen had four children, daughter Lana and sons, Ron, Rick (Blandina) and Dennis (Paula). John is also survived by his sisters, Olga and Mary; brother Martin; as well as nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. John will be dearly missed by his companion and common law wife of 35 years, Sadie. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the E. J. Coutu Chapel, 680 Archibald St. The family would like to thank the staff at the Beacon Hill Lodge for their care they showed John. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in John's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
