FRANK MICHAEL PERTSON It is with sadness, the family announces the passing of Frank Pertson on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre. Frank was predeceased by his brother Ted in 1986. He is survived by his loving wife Barb of 45 years; son Rod (Shonda) and their children, Drew and Gradyn; sister Joyce (Jack) Hentig; nephew Jim (Lisa) and family; nieces, Cathy (Mitch) Boychuk and Tanya Pertson. Frank worked for C.P. Rail, starting in 1957 as a carman apprentice, retiring in 1992 with 35 years service as Supervisor of Training. He was also very active, coaching hockey for years; Sports Director of Deer Lodge Community Club, chairman of St. James Minor Hockey League; chairman of St. James AA Hockey Club; executive of St. James Jr. Canadians; and executive of St. James Jr. Canucks. Frank was a member of Pine Ridge Golf Course for many years, then Assiniboine Golf Course, and in later years curled at Deer Lodge Curling Club. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to a charity of your choice.
