Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL LENORA MAE DUNN (nee WEBB) Hazel Lenora Mae Dunn (nee Webb), our special Mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend passed away quietly at the age of 96 years on July 24, 2005 at Brookhaven Care Centre, Kelowna, BC. Predeceased by husband Manuel, son Brent and grandson Joel. Hazel leaves to mourn, her family: Shirley and Ed Schiller of Kelowna, Wanda and Irwin Johnsrude of Greenville, North Carolina and Brian and Marian Dunn of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Curtis, Christopher, Dana, Jocelyn and Jennie; Julie and Gretchen and Darrell and Darren. She was blessed with 13 special great-grandchildren and provided a place in her heart for all of them. Mom grew up on a farm in High Bluff, MB and later moved to Winnipeg to become a hairdresser. She started her first business at the age of 20 in Manitou where she met and married Manuel. The lived a busy and happy life residing in Hartney, Elm Creek and Selkirk during Manuel's employment with Manitoba Power. Upon retirement they moved to Victoria, BC where Hazel excelled in baking, music appreciation, dancing, bridge and cribbage along with an active participation in the Eastern Star Chapter. She leaves a legacy of love to all of us and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank Brookhaven Care Centre for their kind and loving care over the past three years. A memorial service will be held in Selkirk, MB in the fall.
