Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA LEMECHA Anna Lemecha passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Concordia Place Personal Care Home. Anna was born on May 6, 1915 in Ryzhkova Wola, Jaroslaw, W. Ukraine. She was educated and lived in Ryzhkova Wola until 1938, then she immigrated to France seeking an opportunity to better her life. In 1939 Anna sponsored Wasyl Lemecha and were married that same year. In 1940 they were blessed with a son Bohdam Michael who was their pride and joy. They immigrated to Canada in 1949 where they worked very hard to build a future for their family. Anna was a very hard worker and was very dedicated to her family and friends. She was very creative in the art of sewing and embroidery. She also had a very green thumb. Anna was a member of U.C.W.L.C of Christ the King Church, Ukrainian Canadian Social Services and Ukrainian Canadian Congress. She was predeceased by her husband Basil in 1971, her son Bob in 1997, sister Katherine and brother Mychaylo during The Second World War, and a sister Ahafia in 1993 in Ukraine. She leaves to mourn her passing daughter-in-law Sylvia; grandson Cam; granddaughter Karlie; nieces, nephews and friends. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 1 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2 at Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 263 Fountain St., with Rt. Rev. Canon V. Olach officiating.
