ALDA MARIA DOS SANTOS May 9, 1929 - July 27, 2005 The Van Wijk family is sad to announce the loss of our beloved mother and grandmother. Alda was predeceased by her husband Daniel, sister Irene and daughter Dr. Ester. Alda is survived by her daughters, Lisete and husband Marten Van Wijk and their children, Ana and Karina, Dr. Nair; Celeste and husband Pedro and their children, Ana Filipa and Pedro; Herculano father of Claudia. She is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and one great-grandchild. Alda was a woman of distinction that encompassed both extraordinary beauty and unparalleled goodness. Her loss will be felt by many, with reassurance knowing that she rests at peace. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
